The Angling Trust is Teamed up with the National Mullet Club and the Sea Angling Classic to hold another of their highly successful and very popular Mullet Masterclasses at Northney Marina on Hayling Island in Hampshire.
Members of the Mullet Club did tutorial sessions on how to target and catch the “grey ghost’, as it is often known.
There were tips on bait, tackle and methods plus an opportunity to fish for mullet in the Marina basin and the wider harbour. Bait fishing, fly fishing, spinning and fluffling were all be explored.
These events have been held regularly before by the Angling Trust and National Mullet Club both at Shoreham Port and at Newhaven – two well know mullet venues on the south coast. Holding one at a different venue, Northney in Hampshire, means another opportunity to learn more about mullet and mullet fishing.
There were two Masterclasses held on each of the Saturday and Sunday of the weekend with break out fishing sessions on the pontoons at Northney or in the surrounding Chichester Harbour.
