Angling Spirit the organisers of the Sea Angling Classic, hold public liability insurance to protect it against claims made for loss, damage, injury, and death as a result of its negligence. This policy does not extend to cover any competitors for any loss, damage, injury, and death they may cause to third parties, howsoever caused, on land or on the sea, lake, river, canal, or other waterway.
Therefore everyone participating in the Sea Angling Classic MUST have Personal Public Liability insurance from a reputable provider in place prior to the commencement of the competition which covers them for taking part in a fishing competition, including whilst fishing from a vessel for the whole duration of the Event against the risk of personal injury to oneself, or causing personal injury to a third party.
Vessel owners must also hold insurance for the vessel to include navigation risks and liability to passengers.

PERSONAL PUBLIC LIABILITY
Protects you against compensation claims and their legal costs if you cause injury (including death) to a third party or damage to their property.
On-site policies are no longer available. It is all anglers’ responsibility to ensure they have sufficient cover as detailed in event rules, terms & conditions, and disclaimer.
BOAT PUBLIC LIABILITY
Same as a Personal Public Liability this covers you in case your boat causes damages or injuries to a third party.
